Nice to have a surviving episode, although the dudes working in the lab had horrible haircuts. The molecular dissemination gave me Phantom Zone vibes. Grade: B
Lots of death in this episode, and it was a bummer to see Nicholas Courtney go so soon. Also surprising to see a companion killed off. Still, the episode was generally interesting. Although Katarina’s screams when being held hostage seemed excessive. It seemed like the writers were really trying to shock the audience with the notion that their “toughest security agent” is … GASP! … a woman! The way the characters initially referred to her without pronouns or a first name seemed rather forced. But it was nice to see Jean Marsh again. Grade: B
Slow episode, with not much happening in the grand scheme of the plot. Ship takes off, Daleks force a landing, ship takes off again. (Ship goes up. Ship goes down.) And I couldn’t tell what happened at the end; I had to read the Tardis Wiki summary . Grade: B-minus
