40. The Reign of Terror, Part IV: The Tyrant of France

My first animated reconstruction! I was surprised they kept the animation in black and white, since it seems like there would be no need to. It’s not like it resembled the direction of the existing shows. It felt more like watching B-level anime, with all the extreme close-ups. It also seemed like there might have been tele-snaps occasionally intercut? But I think I prefer the animation to the tele-snap-only renditions, like Marco Polo, even if the animation is rather crude.

Plot-wise, I don’t understand why Ian cares so much about British spy intrigue. Perhaps he cares because it’s a fellow Englishman, but it seems like reuniting with the TARDIS crew and GTFO’ing should be his top priority.
