8. The Daleks, Part IV: The Ambush

I know I shouldn’t expect perfect continuity with later episodes, but it’s hard not to notice discrepancies. Like when the Doctor said the Daleks used to be called “Dals” (sp?), rather than Kaleds. Also, it seems like Daleks in later episodes would know that one of their comrades is down and has been removed from its case, even if it’s in another room.

One other observation: They clearly wanted to get their money’s worth out of the elevator prop. In my head, I kept hearing Homer Simpson say “Lift goes up, lift goes down” on repeat. I guess that was Terry Nation needing to fill out seven episodes.
