Jaconda Forever

All in all, this story is better than I remember, and it was bittersweet seeing Ian and Barbara’s farewell. However, the freeze frame montage of them frolicking in England reminded me of the end of a CHiPs episode . Either that or Police Squad(!) . Also, Vicki didn’t seem to be tied securely enough to be able to descend 1,500 feet safely. Grade: B-plus  

 Given the title of this episode, the Doctor's robot doppelganger seemed to be dispatched a bit too easily. Also, I hope the Mechanoids don't have a lot to say in Part VI; I could see those voices getting annoying. Grade: B  

  After watching this episode, I have questions: At a couple points, the Doctor and Ian walk by a knight’s armor. I was convinced it would start moving, but it never did. Chekhov’s Gun, anyone? Is “stimulates the phagocytes” an odd thing for Ian to say, or is it just me? I realize they didn’t have a massive budget, but couldn’t they have gotten better teeth for Dracula? If they’re just in a haunted house, how do people who are presumably carnies playing characters survive being shot by the Daleks? Why was the robot Doctor doppelganger played by an actor who was clearly not William Hartnell?   Grade: B-minus
